Flu and Pneumonia Vaccinations
Pneumonia vaccine is now recommended for all patients over the age
of 65 and certain other groups of patients. Flu vaccination
takes place annually in September to November for patients over 65
and other patients at risk - those with diabetes, heart or stroke
disease, asthma requiring regular preventer inhalers.
TRAVEL VACCINATIONS
These are mostly free and are given by the nurses. For travel
vaccinations it is best to start 6 weeks before leaving country.
